I looked down one day last week and saw this....

the middle stone of my wedding ring was gone!
This is the ring my husband bought for me two years ago after this happened....

my hand had swelled and my ring had to be cut off my hand. This ring was my original wedding ring. You cannot see it from this picture, but two of the small stones had fallen out of this ring. I had wanted to change to white gold as it matches me so much better. I really loved my second ring! I am so sad that the middle stone is gone. I had no idea that it fell out and have no idea where as we had just returned from a long shopping trip. I am so sad! :-(
Needless to say, my husband is wondering, "How many rings do i have to buy you?"
Oh wow! No fun! Did you have any insurance on it?
ReplyDeleteah bummer. If it makes you feel any better or Mike I didn't loose my 1st wedding band I just wanted a ring with one solid diamond in the middle. My 1st was 4 small princess cut put together to look like one. Snotty I know. But when SLMA severenced me I had 8 years under my belt and thought I deserve a ring. Sometimes I think I should of spent the money on better things and usually when I think that someone tells me how much they like my ring and I think yep me too so I am glad. So sorry you lost the diamond out of it maybe you can just get the diamond I know the most expensive part replaced and not have to buy a entire new ring.
ReplyDeleteI did have an insurance plan, one were I had to take it in every six months. I missed one of the check-up dates by one week and they canceled my insurance plan. So, I will not be getting a new stone.
ReplyDeleteI am hard on rings and have lost the stones out of this one 4 times before. The insurance co. is loosing money on me for sure.
I think I'm going to forget buying anything with large stones anymore. I'm just getting a plain band so that I can't damage it too much.
Oh my goodness! How sad!! How frustrating! I've thought many times that a solid band would be nice for being so busy and such. And to add this on top of everything else in your life! I'm sorry...
ReplyDeleteHow sad! My Mom and Dad both had to replace their rings several times. I have been lucky (knock on wood), I lost it in the sand at the park and later found it. The diamond was barely poking out. Whew! Sometimes I wish I'd lose it so I could get a new one, I know that's bad!
