Mike was laid off from his job today. We knew it was coming. The Spirit has prepared us for the past couple of months with the knowledge that this job was ending. Even with the preparation, it is still a tough pill to swallow. The interesting thing is that Mike told me a few weeks ago that if he had a job past January 15th it would be a miracle. What a coincidence that he is laid off on January 15th...well not a coincidence at all really.
I am thankful for the foreknowledge we were given to help us prepare for this eventuality. We were more careful through Christmas and have spent a lot of time making sure we do not overspend. We have already considered the ramifications and have some idea of what our plans are. Now, if those plans are in tune with what Heavenly Father has in store for us...that is not yet known. :-)

I am so sorry to hear that Mike lost his job. That is never an easy pill to swallow. I have had 4 job losses in 3 years and it is a tough thing sounds like you guys have prepared and are more ready than I was for any of them :)
